What Is RNA Composed Of?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The word RNA stands for Ribonucleic Acid. It is basically a molecule that forms the Nucleotide Units. It can be compared to DNA. However, some of the features are entirely different.

RNA is single-stranded in nature and also has a shorter chain of Nucleotides. It consists of Ribose which makes it less stable than DNA. The discovery of RNA dates back to the year 1868 when Friedrich Miescher.
