Are Horse Racing Games Fun?

To be honest, most of them are developed by one or two-men operations and can get pretty boring pretty fast.  Some of them are very professional, but you'll spend a ton of money and that's not my thing.  I'm a little tight on cash right now.  I must have played 30 horse racing games and 15 or 20 horse games in the last year.  Nothing comes close to www.horseracegame.com  The graphics are amazing.  The community is loaded with rich, historical and informative horse racing.  These guys are promoted by Animal Planet.  They also have a partnership with the Breeders' Cup and other racing entities.  They are the most legit and their basic game is free.
