Cake:
1 Cup Hazelnuts
1 Cup Icing Sugar
2/3 Cup Flour
2 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder
Preheat the oven for about 325 degrees F. now take some nuts and spread it over a baking sheets and toast for about 10 minutes until they turn brown. Place the toasted nuts over a towel and rub it, in order to remove the skin off. Now increase the oven temperature to 375 degrees F. Grind the toasted nuts until they are formed into nice powder form.
Taking a cake pan of about 9" butter and flour it.
In a separate bowl, mix nuts, flour, cocoa, baking powder and cinnamon all together. Add in the eggs, extra yolk and vanilla, and mix it all well. Now add in all the dry ingredients too. Put in the sliced pear and chocolates chips. For about 30 minutes bake. And let it cool down. In order to make compote, put in all the mix ingredients in a pan and cook it until you observe that the pears are soft and tender and the mixture is smooth. Put in the chopped nuts. Now blend in the heavy cream adding in it sugar at the end.
