Will A Brother And Sister Cat Mate?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Yes, it's not uncommon for siblings from the same litter to mate.  It happens with cats, dogs, mice, rats, and many types of animals.  It's not a good idea to keep breeding animals from the same litters or within related generations.  That's inbreeding and eventually weakens the strain.  Genetic defects begin to appear.
