To pray to Allah in it and it is said that the Friday "thuhur" prayer is best prayed in the mosque.

We have mosque because it strengthens the unity and drives away the differences of the rich and poor as all stand together while praying. I mean in the same mosque a millionaire and a beggar both pray.

Mosque is where all muslim comes and pray together and asking God (allah) to clear there bad sins. Mosque is there to brig all belives and decision about the religion (Islam) and also that non-muslim can come and ask the imam questions.
