Should Kids Be Able To Have Cell Phones?

Do They Need Them?

Answer Question

Well this is a hard one. I think it depends on how responsible the kid is and why it is that they need one. But I think that kids (like ages 13 on up) should be able to have cell phones. I can remember when I was a wallmart or albertsons (don't remember which) the other day when I saw a lady who was talking on the cell phone while she was shopping. I didn't think anything about it until I walked past her and saw her three daughters (the oldest looked about 9 the second looked about 7 and the youngest looked about 5 maybe 6) talking / texting on cell phones of their very own. Now that in my opinion is kind of ridiculous.

They should have their own phones, yes, but only at a limited use, that way they do not talk their own ear off.

Yes. I am a kid and i know what it ia like to not to have a cell phone. The three main reasons are for safety, giving you as the parent a piece of mind, and for child's reputation.
