Let us talk about female dressing first. Females used to wear Shalwar Kameez. It is a simple and straightforward dress that they wear along with a Doppatta. This Doppata complements it. It is a decent and simple dress of daily use. There are some areas where they wear Ghagra like dresses. They like embroidery and heavy dresses too. One may see a number of colors and during ceremonies where females are very active in dressing to compete with each other. Pakistanis are bound to follow Pardah. So their dressing is pretty simple and modest.

Males use Shalwar Qameez. They wear decent colors and their clothing is not that bright as compared to females. They also use Shirwai dress. Occasionally they also use cool dresses. They also take part in dressing competitions like females do. Asia has a colorful dressing culture. Nobody can deny the visual beauty of their clothes.

Nowadays trends are changing and they seem impressed by the western dressing style but still they retain aspects of the old culture too. They are not going to let their own culture perish.
