2 is normal. My sister's son got potty trained at the age of 1 and half. You need to be consistent in teaching him how to inform you when he/she needs to potty. And never say , do it in your pamper when you are out. As this can be stop the learning procedure in child. Next time, he will use the pamper without informing you.

Kids do not have control over their sphincter muscles before they reach the age of 2. You should start training them much before that, but they would only be able to respond to your training and behave in a better way when they are 2 or above.

Whenever He or She is ready if you push when they are not ready your only making it worse my son although i knew he was ready and he could do it.  But he wanted to be the one to say when he was gonna use the potty so I stopped insisting on him going to the potty. And one day he came to me and said o.k. I use the potty now and has been using it ever since.  Doctor told me that is one thing they have control over  going potty they will go when they are ready   hope it helps  if not potty trained by 4 is I would seek medical help though
