Puppies start lapping puppy formula milk at about three weeks. Then they can gradually start eating mashed up porridge-consistency food, and then gradually start tackling normal food. Dog chow pellets should be soaked in warm water for pups to soften it and swell it before they eat it. This whole process should take them to about seven weeks of age.

It is usually 9 months when they eat dry but dont go strait to dry use the food your using now and mix it with the dry and he will gradually make a transition to dry

At 6 - 8 weeks should be fine but if you are not sure have a look at a pkt of dry dog food next time you are at the supermarket
