Take the child to a doctor or hospital and ask to be checked for Systemic & Discoid Lupus.  It does cause rashes and high fever.  It is more common in African Americans, Hispanics and women in their childbearing years, but I am a Cacasion female who was diagnosed at age 14.  Lupus is a blood disorder which can effect all areas of the body. Including the brain, kidneys, lungs and can lead to fibromyalgia, arthritis and depression.  There are very good medicines to help with the treatment and management of this illness.  A good suggestion would be see a Rhematologist-check out the Lupus Foundation of America for a specialist.  They can do bloodwork to rule out this disease.  It took me almost 2 years to find my diagnosis in 1981 at age 14.  It can be deadly but there are many advancements in the last 25 years and doctors have come a long way in treating and helping people with this illness to live a long and productive life.  Hope this helps and if it is not Lupus I hope you can find out the cause of the child's pain..Keep me posted on the childs progress...

My son has been sick for approx. 1 1/2 years.  He has diarrhea - going several times a day, he is very pale, with a pasty color, has no energy and complains of stomach aches.  He was first diagnosed with Celiac which diet we were on for 5 months with absolutely no change is how he felt.  Then had 2 more scopes done-upper and lower -being diagnosed with either IBS or Crohns, but Dr. Felt the tests didn't completely fit these conditions.  My son was on Prednisone, Nexium, and Asacol.  We are off all but the Asacol which is taken twice a day.  He is resorting back to the sample condition he was in the beginning of this process and we have no answers.  What could it be?

Children don't get shingles...they get chicken pox. You get shingles later in life from the virus that causes chicken pox (herpes zoster) that lives dormant in your body and resurfaces when you are old and/or have a weakened immune system.
