What Are The Drawbacks Of The Mp3 Songs?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The major drawback of the MP3 songs is that these songs are not the exact replication of the original song. Production technology imposes quality restrictions for they are produced by consuming only one-tenth volume of the original. As different bit rates can be used to create MP3 for the same audio, maintaining consistency in the MP3 songs is a great problem. There is a limitation of creating maximum bit rate and so the quality of the MP3 songs. Quality of these songs, which largely depends upon the bit rate used for the encoding, is never to be compared with that of the original.

With the rapid growth of the Internet and multimedia tools, these songs are now widely distributed over a larger volume of people easily. Such easy accessibility reduces credential of the singers as these MP3 songs are being designed to represent the singer truly; in other words, MP3 songs are not faithful to the artists. People are, thereby, denied to access quality art. Easy transportability of the MP3 songs also causes a great risk to the authorized revenue collectors by freely transporting these songs by the people over the Internet.
