Fantasy is all good and well but I like a good case argument. I think there are two ways it could go. First is the idea of the technological singularity, the point where our technology becomes intelligent enough to evolve by creating superior versions of themselves, therefore doing away for the need of biological life. The other is the "greys". As our sun ages and our atmosphere deplenishes, the need for tinted skin and for a darker lens on the eyes is greater. Also as we advance and evolve, we will continue to use cognitive abilities more than our physical abilities, leading to smaller and less functional limbs, with a larger cranium for brain capacity. Oh almost forgot the third possibility... Hyper intelligent cockroaches or rats. Breed quickly and so can produce quickly enough to adapt to a radically different environment easily.

 It's certainly possible. With all the genetic engineering and the vast number of possibilities that exist today, it's not beyond the realm of reason that we could evolve into another species. It won't happen overnight, but anything is possible.

 Look how far science has come over the last several hundred years! There certainly could be another type of race that will exist after the human race; maybe cloning may be part of it.

 In the Bible it is written that God will destroy man and the earth with fire when he comes back, so if you believe in the Bible, there will be no earth left. If you believe different, then I or no one else would have a clue as to what will happen.

 My fantasy is that it would be The Humane Race, this could be a result of social evolution, rather than biological.

I imagine oddities of behavior excused with "It's only humane." rather than with "It's only human."

The credential for inclusion would be behavior rather than ancestry/DNA.

Additional material: Relative to general intelligence, the surface area of the brain is considered to be more significant than the mass. Convolution is key.

 Hi! I think that it would probably go back to the bugs -- roaches, arachnids, etc., etc., and so on and all those other little critters that have already been around forever.

Should man survive and evolve into another race, I would pray that they wouldn't destroy the earth as we have.

 God and the Bible say it's a spiritual one, and I'm betting my life on it TOO!

 It might not surprise us for a new race coz man has the ability to create new species!! Anyways we must c that this human race doesn't end-up in a disaster!! We must be thankful to god who created us and we must go ahead with new inventions!!
