A large number of animals live in the rainforest
and different animals are found in the different countries where rainforests
are found. For example the rainforests in south America are home to some species
of butterflies, mammals like jaguar, sloth, howler monkey etc, birds like
macaw, hoatzins, humming birds etc. Reptiles including anacondas, boas, coral snakes
and fish including piranha. In Australia the animals include tree kangaroo, rat kangaroo,
emerald dove, orange-footed scrubfowl, frilled lizard, carpet python,
Union Jack butterfly, Regent skipper, Giant Tree frog, Striped marsh frog
etc are found.
