Kate Beckinsale is a beautiful young actress, the star of movies such as a Pearl Harbour, Much Ado About Nothing and Underworld. Kate's real name is Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale.
Kate was born in London in 1973, and she attended Oxford University to study Russian and French. She twice won the W H Smith Young Writer of the year.
Kate is married to Len Wiseman, the director and has a child with Michael Sheen (Lily) with whom she shared the stage in the Thelma Holt national tour of the Seagull (it's where I met her!)
She is the daughter of actor Richard Beckinsale, the Nottinghamshire actor who was the star of Porridge and Rising Damp. Richard passed away when Kate was only 6 years old at the young and tender age of thirty-one.
She was voted as FHM's Number 71 Hottest Woman in the World, Maxim did better naming her 23rd of their hottest 100 women.
