No it means gap by gap as in GAP ther r gaps in gap like baby KID TEENager ADult there it is but i never had any clothes from gap im not a fan

I never thought of that before. At first, I just thought that it was a name like Adidas and Nike and Chico. I did hear some people say that Gap stands for gay and proud. So I guess it is.

That buddy was serious. He threw all his clothes with the name 'GAP' on it.
I don't think that that is what it started out being, it was probably something else. A few people must have been joking around, and made that up, and it has been passed around.

I've read a bunch of reports that there is no meaning behind GAP; however I love how comfortable their socks are. I buy a pair every time I go there.
