Popularly speaking, a resort synonymous with ‘picnic spots’ is scenic and self-contained; with amenities like eateries, lodging, shopping, sports and entertainment available to make the stay wonderful and memorable. A hotel at times, is a central part of attraction in a resort. Towns which have resorts as popular tourist attractions are also known as resort towns.
