I Am 15... How Do I Decide Right Now What I Want To Do With My Life?

I applaud you for wanting to decide what to do with your life at such a young age, but I would not rush into any decisions. Your best bet is to complete your secondary schooling to the best of your ability and to begin deciding what you would like to do after graduation during your final two years of school. If you plan on attending university, start looking into prospective schools about two years before you complete high school. You can do this by simply visiting the websites of universities in your area, or elsewhere, and if you are especially interested in an institution, you should visit it and see if you can get a guided tour, of if you can speak with someone in the undergraduate admissions office.

In terms of determining your interests, try to consider what type of work environment you would like to spend most of your adult life in. Do you work best within a structured environment, with a set schedule and routine? If so, you may wish to look for an office job, perhaps in the public sector. If you think that you may enjoy teaching and working with youth, perhaps you could go into education. Additionally, if you have an interest in a specific trade, then you could look into that as well.

Your best bet in making a decision about your future is to keep your eyes and ears open about what adults around you are saying about their respective places of employment and read as much as possible on what types of jobs are out there, and what fields of study are offered at universities in your area. You may also want to speak with your school's academic advisor, or counsellor, as he/she can provide valuable information.

Most importantly, however, do not rush into a decision, as your have plenty of time still to decide what you want to do.

You definitely sound like someone with a lot of interests and talents. However, it is true that at your age it is difficult to know what will like as a career, or even what you won't like as a career. The best way to find out is to see if you know anyone in those professions right now, and offer to volunteer or assist them in their job to get an insight into what it is like to be doing it for a living. Ask them how they came to the decision, and what things they had to do to get there (education and training).

Just keep in the back of your mind the right balance between money and interest, as well as working hours and commitment. Also, it is very common for people to want to change careers, so don't feel like you will be locked in once you make a decision. Good luck with everything.
