I had 2 hamsters that fought. I talked to a person at a pet store and they said that hamsters do fight. When they are in the wild they do not live together. Both mine were males. I'm not sure if you would have fighting if you got a male and female but then you will have to worry about babies coming along. I suggest getting another cage if you are gonna get another one. Which you will also need if you end up with a pregnant hamster.

When you get the new hamster - take the first male out of the cage and let the new hamster in the cage to get is scent in there - leave him in there for about 30 minutes then try putting the first one back in.

Yes hamsters do fight.Try putting them in separate cages.Aquariams are most safe.Try putting one of the hamsters in the other hamsters cage everyday for a few minutes. This will make them get used to each other. Then when they get used to each other they wont fight anymore. That's what happened to my two hamsters(boy and girl).
