Your pup is very lucky to have survived the parvo virus. The virus is a puppy killer and is rarely fatal to adult dogs. Series of vaccinations are actually weakened live parvo virus introduced into the pups immune system for the purpose of gradually increasing protective antibodies. If your pup was infected with the virus and survived that alone could insure its immunity from future infection. Completed vaccination for parvo virus doesn't guarantee immunity. Sometimes pups become infectious from the vaccinations themselves. The virus attacks and destroys the canine's stomach lining and when infection is advanced produces a very prominent and unique odor. The virus is extremely hardy and can survive almost anywhere for literally years. Usually lays dormant in soil and is then transmitted in the air when such soil is disturbed. Plastics and rubber are common materials that the parvo virus is found to reside for years. To kill the virus on contact and completely use 10 % bleach on everything the virus  might have been exposed to...including the soil. 5% bleach is the most common found on store shelves and can be effective but make the extra effort to find 10% strength.

No as long as you got it the parvo vaccine. That's a series of 3 shots.
