Answer Question

A broadband connection provides internet to a user through either a DSL or cable line. The line requires the use of a cable or DSL modem. A broadband connection speed starts at 256 kb/sec and go as high as 159 Gbit/s. A dial up connection on the other hand is through a dial up modem that uses a phone line to connect to the internet service provider. The maximum speed that a dial up modem can provide is 56 Kb/sec which is considerably lower when compared to a broadband line. Dial up connections are more convenient as they do not require any great infrastructure. Existing phone lines can be used to provide the service as well. Broadband connection is progressively replacing the use of dial up internet connections.
