Did Prestor John Actually Exist Or His Life Is Just A Myth?

Todate, no one has been able to provide authentic and plausible evidence about the existence of Prestor John.  However, popular legends repeatedly suggest that there was a man in history by the name of Prestor John.  He was also referred to as John the Priest.  As for the name Prestor, it is a shortened form of the title Presbyter.  The life that he supposedly led dates back to the Middle Ages.  According to popular legend, Prestor John was a great Christian potentate, a kind of emperor, who was also the son of King Priest of the Indies, who possessed sumptuous wealth and power.

Even if its not a true tale, it intends to suffuse great inspiration specially by the lifestyle of Prestor John, who despite of having such great power, led a very modest life.  During the course of his rule, there was no poverty and prosperity was the order of the day.  People were happy with his rule as he entrenched the principles of justice and truth in his kingdom.

In later centuries it was established that the land John lived and ruled over, lay in Ethiopia and gradually contributed towards becoming an acceptable version of what the legends impart about Prestor John.
