Can You Explain Torque In Simple Words?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Torque is the cross product of force and moment arm. Force is the effort exerted on the body while moment arm is the distance between force point and rotational axis. It is a rotational effect when a force is applied on the body and it results in the rotational motion of the body. The formula for calculating torque is as follows:

    Torque = r x f

    Torque = rf Sine(theta)
