    The Canterbury Tales Can Best Be Described As Or Compared To A collection of short stories told by a group of fictional travelers.


    It was written by Geoffrey Chaucer in 14th century. He planned it to have 120 different narratives, but his life has different plans for him and he died without completing it. The ideas of these tales are very diverse.
    The Wife of Bath, for example, tells a about a romantic legend courtly love. It has a theme that a woman's utmost wish is to select her own life. Other stories talk about duty, respect, and loyalty; greed and fraud etc.
