If Athermomater Is Placed In The Sun Will It Give Acorrect Reading Of The Tempature Outside?

Just wanted to know.

    If you have one thermometer placed in direct sunlight, and another in the shade, the thermometer in the sun will have a higher reading. The temperatures you see on the weather forecasts are based on readings from the shade.
