Can't tell you what the pain is but you do know that is where the heart is and they say heart attacks for females the pain is in the back,go have yourself checked out and the best to you.....

My mom, who is 56 years old and recently had her gallbladder removed experiences the same thing. Docs removed the gallbladder b/c it was cancerous. This pain has existed before the surgery and still persists today. It is an uncomfortable burden for her. A soreness under the rib cage from the back that has not completely gone away in years. After colonoscopies and all, doctors suggest it is gas or GERD but she is not bloated. She also does not vomit or get acidic tastes in her mouth. PLEASE ADVISE!
