According to the anthropocentric view-point, human are the most important phenomenon among all the species around the universe. Hence human are the most valuable organism. The bio-centric view, however, considers that human are merely a species among all other animals, and nothing more than that. Hence, according to the bio-centric view, human do not have greater intrinsic value compared to other species in the universe. This is true that ecosystem is primarily based on the bio-centric view, but anthropocentrism has a great implication on the area of determining the interrelationship of human with other organisms within the ecosystem. The major implications of anthropocentrism are as follows:

    • According to the anthropocentric view, humans have the greater intrinsic value among all organisms, hence it implies that humans reserve the right to 'exploit' any other organisms if find potentially beneficial. This may cause the danger of extinction, such as happened with dodo or great auk and other scarce animals.

    • As the view suggests the above-mentioned implication, there is a question of ethical rights to be considered. Hence, humans reserve the rights to ethically judging the interaction process among different organisms. For example, animals sometime may be treated very cruelly just to fulfil the purpose of human.

Obviously the above-mentioned implications have been criticized by several sensitive thinkers and rationalists.
