What Does It Mean When Neighbor Leaves Nilla Wafers On Our Window Ledge?

For several months our neighbor has put a single nilla wafer outside on the ledge of our kitchen window. Is this supposed to mean something? Sorry - more background. They also used to leave a cookie on the outside ledge of their own windows. Just wondering if this had some particular meaning (e.g. Tradition of some sort, used to bring good luck...). Thanks for your thoughts.

Just kindness of a cookie. They are probably trying to be kind by leaving you a cookie. I mean it is hard to mean something evil with a cookie because bringing cookies is a generous thing!

I remember my estonian grandmother telling me that has a child her family would leave cookie crumbs on the kitchen window sill to feed the birds during the winter. It was entertaining to watch. Encouraged them to hang around. In turn, the townspeople thought you blessed with good fortune. Something about abounding life in your family. Have you tried researching old folklores?

I did not know that. all that I know is that putting a cookie on a new neighbor's window sill is a good sign of health and friendship.
