Well first you have to take the cat’s temperature. If fever is less than 104.5F then monitor your pet. Ensure that your pet keep on eating and drinking. Consistently get your pet's temperature 1 to 2 times every day. If the temperature is more than 104.5 - 105 F, then the medication is needed to break the fever. Many veterinarian recommend. Other commonly prescribed medicines are:

• Amoxicillin.
• Ampicillin.
• Cephalexin.
• Doxycycline.

If the fever happens again, even with the antibiotic treatment, then more diagnostic test is needed.
