Answer Question

I'm not sure if jai alai is considered a racket sport or not. If not, I've read that, believe it or not, badminton is the fastest.

If they consider la crosse a racket sport then i would say that is the fastest(considering it uses a 4-5 ft staff) to sling a solid ball...

Is badminton considered a sport by the questioner, or just a game played at summer camp and in the backyard/picnics....just asking....in other words is it recognized by the world as a sport....

It's a sport recognized by the Olympic committee. And with speeds exceeding 200 mph i would say that's out of the realm of most peoples physical limitations. So by anyone's definition I'd say it's a sport. And whether it's played at summer camp is irrelevant. Many sports are played then. So with that logic they would not officially be sports? Baseball, football, soccer and softball are no longer real sports? I think not ;) lol!
