How Do You Decorate Your Christmas Tree For The Holiday Season?

I love variety and color.  Our tree is decorated with traditional glass ornaments (round). We've added picture ornaments of our favorite vacation spots, as well as our pets.  It makes it real personal.  It's really a Hodge podge of things, and we have to have Elvis somewhere on our tree each year.  It actually looks beautiful!

We used to do ours very traditional, but now prefer to have something different - eg do it all in one colour - each time. Have also become a late fan of fibre optic trees, having always sworn only natural ones would do. And I'd love to try having everything edible on the tree - gingerbread men etc. What about you?
