Dang that's rough. My parent thought I had dyslexia but it just turned out to be a tracking problem although I do have ADHD. The thing is that when dealing with a disabled learning student you need to find the best way for them as an individual to learn. It would help if you knew if the student was a for example:a visual learner. A visual learner needs to see things to understand them better. Like when a visual learner gives direction to somewhere they often describe what the place looks like opposed from giving the actual direction.

You need to play around with your teaching methods. That's the best advice I can give you. If you need more just ask. My mother is a special educations teacher and I could just ask her.
