URGENT!! Chickenpox Vaccination Information!! Can You Help?
My father has a low immune system due to radiation treatment for cancer, although he isn't taking treatment right now, it has only been a couple of years and he has a lot of underlying causes with his health. He is a very ill man and I don't want anything to happen to him. But my son received his chickenpox vaccination today and I need to know if it is okay for him to be around my dad, or will he make him sick?

You might just want to keep him away for a few days, just to make sure, can he stay at a friends house for a while? I'm not saying that it will make him sick, but I understand your concern for your father, and caution is better than cure. Hope this helps you out.

I'd say pick up the phone and ask your doctor. No need to keep him away unnecessarily and you don't want to make the mistake of taking him for a visit if it isn't safe.

I'd say keep the child away from anyone whose immune system is compromised, at least for a few days.
