Signs of periods and pregnancy can be same because these signs are due to high levels of a hormones called progesterone. This hormone is present in high quantity during pregnancy and just before start of periods and causes same symptoms like breast tenderness, nausea, mood changes, etc. So, it is possible that a pregnant woman also has signs of periods.
