Devil's Dyke is located in Cambridgeshire, England. It is said to be an Anglo-Saxon earth work, it is one of the main and best known surviving examples in Britain.
A few potsherds from the early and late Bronze period were discovered towards the eastern part of Fleam Dyke, it was believed thatthat many earthworks have also been used. Hence Archaeologist Prof. Mc Kenny Hughes chose to speak about 'Multi-Period Dykes'.
Though not so long ago Alison Taylor carefully concluded that despite the fact that most defensive dykes in Cambridge have been said to be Anglo-Saxon in their last stage, they time and again seem to be precede by Iron Age mechanism, in other places like in East Anglia they normally known as Iron Age till today.
The dyke comprises of an immense bank and ditch ranging from seven and half kilometers south-east from Reach to Woodditton. At its prime, the bank is eleven meters in stature. The county of dyke is at the moment is run by English heritage as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
