How Do I Get The Menu Bar Back On Internet Explorer?

I accidentally pressed a few buttons on my keyboard and now I no longer have the menu bar (File, View, Edit, etc.). All I have is that one bar at the top of my screen with five useless buttons. How do I get the menu bar back on Internet Explorer?

It's hard to go to the toolbar when as you stated, you couldn't see "view, file, etc."  Yes, the F11 key does work, but don't go to the extreme of reinstalling IE! Even tho all you see are picture icons, in the far upper right corner you should see: An IE globe/or co-branded logo, -, one box or maybe 2 stacked boxes, then an X. Left click one time on the box(s) and everything will come back. Another thing, now click on view>toolbars> take the check OFF the lock toolbars. Now you can see some "speedbumps" next to some of the vertical dividing lines. Slowly hover over them, and when your cursor turns into a double ended arrow: Hold the left click down, now move your mouse. Up, down, right, left... You can move those bars all over. When you get the config you want, let go of the button, go to view>toolbars>then click lock the toolbars so there's a check in front of it.  Now everything stays put, but remember: F11 will still make it disappear. Try it, toggle. Hope this helps you and anyone else. I've been using computers since '84. They didn't even have hard drives back then and no GUI OS interface. DOS and lots of 5 1/4 floppys. I miss those days sometimes...

FYI... F11 = full screen mode... since neither answers seemed to mention that.

You have 2 right click on the line where its supposed 2 be and then when the menu comes up click on menu bar. It really works! Trust me!

You might have pressed the F11 button.

Press it again to bring it back to normal screen mode

or Go to view >> toolbar >> see if there is check on every option there.
It should bring back the file bar back. Otherwise, install the explorer again.
