Can You Train A Kitten?

Answer Question

That depends on what you want it to do! Cats aren't like dogs, and you can't get them to perform tricks and so on (or very rarely.) It's also very unusual to find a cat that can be trained to follow its owner (though it has been done, especially with Siamese cats.) However, they aren't unteachable, and can certainly be taught to respect a few basic rules if you start when they are small.

Teaching a new kitten to use its litter tray, or go outside, is actually quite easy. Cats are naturally clean and prefer to leave their droppings somewhere out of the way. If you pick the kitten up and put it in the tray every time it soils the carpet, it will soon start going there of its own accord.

It's also fairly easy to teach a kitten not to do things like lie on the bed, claw at your legs etc – if you always say "No" in a firm (not loud) voice, and physically move him/ her away, your kitten will eventually stop doing these things, or at least do them less.

Yes you can train a kitten by putting them in their litter box a couple of times a day .Then they usually will get in the box when it is time to use it .That is how i have always trained every  cat i have ever had.
