How Do Binoculars Work?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Binoculars are generally two similar Mirror-Symmetrical telescopes which are attached side by side and are aligned accurately to one particular point and direction. Each of these is to be viewed through the user's eyes to get a view with great depth and the distance being reduced.

Comparatively small, single-tube telescopes are known as Monoculars. As compared to binoculars you get an outwardly three-dimensional image from the monocular telescope.

Binoculars are better and simpler to use as you do not need to close an eye to avoid confusion, which you have to while using a Monocular. The most commonly used binoculars are the ones which fit in easily in the hand and are much simpler to use. Where as Larger binoculars are very uncomfortable for usage as they are inadequate in size and are usually mounted on a Tripod.
