(b) 3x (3x + 4) = -4

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    3x (3x + 4) = -4
    this becomes
    9x^2+12x+4 =0
    this is an equation of type ax^2+bx+c =0, so we get
    a = 9, b = 12 and c = 4

    since we know x = (-b+/- sqrt(b^2-4ac)/2a
    replacea,b and c with the respective values in the above equation and you will get the answer!
