Phantom Planet is a music group from Southern California. The band is known for the 'California'. Fox TV adopted this as the theme song for the series, The O.CThe former members were Jason Schwartzmann and Jacques Brautabar. The members of the band were inspired by the movie song 'The Phantom Planet' of 1961. Thus, they adopted the title name of the song for their band, in 1994.
