I used to believe that dogs could not see color. Yet, anything I buy that is green he just loves and plays and plays, now i can buy him the same toy different color and he will not have anything to do with it. So, I don't know about other dogs but mine seems to see at least green.

my dog is really fat but she seems to love pink And yellow, whenever I am wearing yellow or pink she jumps at me and goes crazy but then if I wear red or purple or any other color she just glances at me for a second and then goes back to eating or sleeping. my friends dog josh is gorgeous but he never seems to jump at any colors so I'm not quite sure if my dog isn't color blind and her dog is so it's confusing but I believe her dog is just weird and mine isn't.
PINK AND YELLOW ROCK!!! haha

Dogs can see every color but red. However, they can see other shades of red. I learned that in my psycho-biology class.

Dogs certainly can be called colour blind as they are blind for red and green colour. Dogs see brighter and also a less detailed world when we compare their vision to humans. But the peripheral vision of dogs is better than that of human beings, but they could not judge the distance quite well.

Dogs have an excellent night vision and they are quite adroit at detecting a moving object. The excellent night vision of dogs can be attributed to two reasons. The first is the number of rods that is more than that of human and is responsible for night vision. The second one is they have a structure called Tapetum Lucidum, which is a reflective surface situated behind the retina and reflects light back through it.
