The novel is about Chaz, a marine scientist who does not have much knowledge about the field and is involved with an organization that is dumping fertilizers in the Everglades which is an endangered place. One night while on a cruise, his wife Joey finds about his husband's illegal activities and then he tries to kill her by throwing her from the ship. But Joey does not die and instead is rescued by a man called Mick. Both of them then scheme out a plan in order to open the scam. Both of them go through a series of adventures which is both funny and exciting.

The book received a lot of appreciation from the critics and made it the best selling book of the author.
