Should All Internet Chat/blog/sites Have To Alert The Authorities If Someone Is Claiming They Are Going To Harm Themselves?
Since the site usually will have their contact information(if the contact info is real). Instead of risking the person is seeking attention or not.

I think this is a great idea, but do you think that the cost might be more than the ability to stop them when they might be really determined? I almost think that when they are saying this they are either being stupid, and playing a game, or they are doing it for attention, that would be most of the time. I came across one one time that I really thought was real, and reached out to this person, and the mods at the same time. I really thought this person was going to do it. That is the only time that I thought it was for real. I really think it's a good idea though.

Yes, i don't think they understand that they are tying up life saving resources by playing games on the internet . I was just thinking what if the one time no one pays any attention to someone that really needs help and they do harm themselves for lack of mental health treatment/counseling. The problem would be, do the police /authorities use life saving resources on someone possibly playing games or do they check it out and punish the ones that are playing games and help the ones that need help
I see what you mean. I was talking about that with that one question, and I didn't mean to hurt that girls feelings, but, there are people that play around with it, and really mess with our emotions on here. I care deeply about them, and it hurts to see them like that. If the police were involved, yes they would be fined, ticketed or something for a false report. That is a very seriously wrong thing to do.
Yah its an excellent idea, becz it is really harmful these days to many teenagers and children too, and about this issue i really think that there should be an age limit for people who sign up for these kind of places, thx
