 The North Yorkshire Moors (or the North York Moors) are located in the northern part of the county of Yorkshire in England. It is located to the north and east of the city of York. It covers a total area of approximately 1, 436 square kilometres.

It extends from the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray across to the coast of the county of Yorkshire. When it is converted into square miles, the area covered by the North Yorkshire Moors is approximately 554 square miles.

It has been designated as one of the national parks in England. The highest point of the Moors is Urra Moor. It stands at an altitude of approximately 454 metres. When it is converted into feet, the elevation at which Urra Moor stands is approximately 1, 490 feet.
