What Was England Doing The French Revolution?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Pick one:

    1.  Quaking in their boots hoping that the revolution wouldn't spread to England.
    2.  Helping the peasants to dethrone Louis XVI so they could put an Englishman on the throne.
    3.  Helping the French aristocracy to fend off the peasant to suppress the revolution (see 1.).
    4.  Welcoming the French aristocracy to London & hobnobbing with them.
    5.  The French Revolution occurred 10-12 years after the English lost North America to the emigrants (us).  They were probably wanting to rest.  King George had porphyria and "was quite mad", making the running of the country (England) difficult.
