Who Was Winston Churchill? What Have He Done In World's History?

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill (born 30 November 1874 - died 24 Janruary 1965) was an English Statesman, soldier in the British Army, an author and many other things. He fought as a soldier during the Second Boer War and also fought in the 1st World War. He was the British Prime Minister during the 2nd World War from 1940 - 45 and then again from 1951 till he retired in 1955. He is regarded as one of the most important leaders in Modern British and World History.
Winston Churchill was voted the Greatest ever Briton in a 2002 BBC Poll of the 100 Greatest Britons.
He was granted a State Funeral and it saw one of the largest assemblies of statesman in the world, the funeral was shown live on British Television.
