Who Is Clay Aiken?

Clay Aiken is an American pop singer who became famous because of his appearance on the popular show known as American Idol. He was a contestant on season two and won second place, next to Rueben Stoddard in 2003 on American Idol.

Since his appearance on American Idol, Clay Aiken's musical career has been very successful.  His first album was called Measure of a Man and it sold over a million copies after its release in October 2003. He released his second album which was an album of Christmas songs the next year, and his third album was called A Thousand Different Ways, which was released in September of 2006.

Clay Aiken was born and raised in North Carolina and before singing on American Idol, he sang in a boy's choir. He was attending college when he went onto American Idol; however, despite his singing success, he still earned his Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
