My Cat Is Not Having Bowel Movements What Should I Do?

I recently drove from Florida to Maine. My cat had to stay with a friend for a month. Now that I have him back, I noticed he has lost weight, but, he is eating well. The problem is that he is not having bowel movements. Is there any home remedy or do I need to take him to the vet?

When a cat has constipation, the first thing to do is to change its diet. Most likely you have been feeding the cat on dry food and which is leading to the lack of bowel movements. I would recommend that you switch to canned foods which besides correcting constipation have other health benefits as well
