Do You Have To Use Flour While Making Macaroni And Cheese?

Answer Question

No, you don't have to but it helps to keep the cheese from gobbing up. It'll be an awful mess unless you make a bechamel. It'll probably still be better than that crap from a box though.

I've never made macaroni and cheese using flour and neither has my mother.

Here's how I make macaroni and cheese. I use ziti, but any pasta will do. First I, put the cooked pasta, one pound, in a baking pan. Second, I grate extra sharp cheddar cheese, about one pound, but you can use more or less. Third, I pour on can of evaporated milk over the pasta and cheese. I sometimes put pats of butter on top, but it is not necessary. I then bake in  three hundred and fity degree oven until the cheese melts and starts to brown.
