How To Identify Faulty Component In Transmission On 1998 Chrysler Town & Country Minivan?
Symptoms. Van doesn't move , made some clunking when transmission quit. Speedometer indicate speed when placed in gear & motor revved. Some clicking while speed goes to zero AFTER put in park. Park does not keep van from rolling. No fluid leaks or parts sticking out the bottom

It sounds like you have a broken axle or a bad cv joint. I would jack up the front of the van one wheel at a time and while turning the tire look under and see if the axle or cv joint is bad.

I think you have a broken cv joint or axle broke, jack to the vehicle and roll the front wheels and check it out.
