Answer Question

    3x2+19x-14=0

    a = 3, b = 19, c = -14

    x = {-b + (b2 - 4ac)1/2}/2a

    x = {-19 + (192 - 4(3)(-14)1/2}/2(3)

    x = {-19 + (361 + 168)1/2}/6

    x = {-19 + (529)1/2}/6

    x = {-19 + (529)1/2}/6 and x = {-19 - (529)1/2}/6

      3x^2+19x-14=(3x-2)(x+7); to find the roots of x, 3x=2 and x=-7; x=(2/3,-7).
